Environmental Services Officer

About The Role

As an Environmental Services Officer, you will:

• Respond to reports of environmental crime and carry out site visits and inspections across the borough.
• Gather evidence and prepare case files for prosecution.
• Conduct interviews and engage with members of the public, businesses and partner organisations.

This is a varied and hands-on role where no two days are the same. You will receive training and support to develop your knowledge, skills and confidence, enabling you to build a rewarding career in environmental enforcement.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will:

• Be confident dealing with challenging situations and difficult conversations.
• Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Be organised, methodical and able to manage your own workload.
• Demonstrate a high standard of customer care.
• Be competent in using Microsoft Office applications.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.

Experience in enforcement, investigations or a customer-facing role would be advantageous, although full training will be provided.

Pay & Schedule

• Salary: £32,155 – £35,026 per annum
• Hours: 37 hours per week
• Location: Portway Depot, Andover
