Environmental Services Manager

About the role

The Environmental Services Manager maintains housekeeping and laundry services ensuring a safe, sanitary, and clean environment for all patients, visitors, and employees. This position plans, develops, organizes, directs, and controls operations of the Environmental Services Department and upholds requirements, TJC, federal, state and local regulations. In addition, the position provides direct supervision and guidance to environmental service staff, as well as laundry staff as appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Maintain housekeeping and laundry services ensuring a safe, sanitary, and clean environment for all patients, visitors, and employees.
• Plan, develop, organize, direct, and control operations of the Environmental Services Department.
• Uphold requirements, TJC, federal, state and local regulations.
• Provide direct supervision and guidance to environmental service staff, as well as laundry staff as appropriate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a healthcare setting managing housekeeping and laundry services.
• Experience in compliance with TJC, federal, state and local regulations.
• Strong supervisory skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff and management.
