Environmental Services EVS Worker Lead - Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center (CMC)

About the role

The Environmental Services Worker Lead provides work leadership to hourly employees in Aramark Facility Services areas of responsibility during events and performs hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Assists management and supervisors at the beginning and end of shifts with sign-in, supplies, and equipment sign-out/sign-in.
• Assists shift operations in preparing and delivering supplies to meet employees' needs.
• Performs assessments of public restrooms and on-call rooms as needed.
• Adheres to all departmental sanitation procedures.
• Reports employee issues, including safety, injuries, and disciplinary matters.
• Supervises staff assignments to ensure efficient and high-quality cleaning services.
• Formulates action plans to correct inefficiencies and quality discrepancies.
• Assists in employee training, coaching, and motivation.
• Maintains accurate record-keeping for quality control systems.
• Adheres to established safety systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment.
• Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state, and federal government regulations.
• Maintains compliance with Aramark's standards of operation and client contracts.
• Maintains records and reports necessary to comply with Aramark, government, and accrediting agency standards.
• Job duties may change or new ones may be assigned without formal notice to meet commitments.

Requirements

• 1-2 years of experience in environmental services.
• Ability to communicate effectively (both verbally and in writing).
• Ability to apply elementary math functions.
• Ability to work well under time constraints.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but straightforward instructions.
• Basic knowledge of infection control procedures and universal precautions.
• Ability to work independently after appropriate training and instruction.
• Maintain a friendly and efficient service attitude toward customers, co-workers, and clients.
