Environmental Services EVS Manager

Job Responsibilities

Directly supervise and support a team of 25 EVS staff
Conduct interviews and make hiring suggestions
Make annual evaluations of staff performance
Supervise/conduct initial and annual staff training
Creates day off roster
Fosters a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement

Operations

Oversee daily cleaning operations for patient rooms, surgical areas, exam rooms, and common areas
Ensure consistent execution of cleaning and infection control protocols through Quality Audits (inspections)
Monitor workload distribution and adjust based on staffing levels and census
Respond promptly to customer service issues and implement corrective actions
Addresses attendance and productivity issues with guidance from hospital human resources department

Qualifications

Requires at least 2 years of experience in environmental services or another service-related field.
Requires up to 2 years of experience in a management or supervisory role preferred.
