About the role
Join our team as an EVS Aide to provide a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Responsibilities
- Clean and disinfect high-touch surfaces, restrooms, patient rooms, and public areas according to hospital standards
- Properly handle and dispose of biohazardous and regular waste
- Operate specialized floor cleaning equipment, such as buffers and vacuums
- Follow all safety, Joint Commission/CMS regulations, and infection control protocols
- Ensure EVS closets and equipment are clean, organized, and secure
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- One (1) year housekeeping experience required, preferably in a hospital or medical setting
- Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
- Strong attention to detail and physical stamina
- Knowledge of cleaning and disinfectant product
