Environmental Services Director

About the Role

Era Living is seeking a full-time Environmental Services Director to join our team at The Gardens at Town Square community in Bellevue, WA. This position manages maintenance and housekeeping/laundry departments, plans and implements departmental services, and negotiates contracts with outside vendors.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call availability for building emergencies

Pay

$80,000 - $90,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Manage maintenance and housekeeping/laundry departments at the community
• Plan, develop, organize, implement, and evaluate departmental services
• Negotiate and maintain contracts with outside vendors
• Inspect equipment, buildings, storage rooms, linen closets, utility, and janitorial areas to ensure a safe and comfortable environment
• Hire, train, and coordinate work efforts of Environmental Services staff

Requirements

• Basic knowledge and ability to perform all aspects of environmental services administration in a healthcare institution
• Technical knowledge and mechanical ability to perform maintenance and repair of mechanical and electrical equipment
• Knowledge of construction principles
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English
• Ability to pass DSHS background check

Qualifications

• Training in multiple building trades or other related training
• Previous experience managing both routine maintenance and housekeeping/laundry units
• Minimum of 5 years related facilities experience
• Healthcare setting experience preferred
