Environmental Services Associate, Operating Room, Part-time, Variable Shift
About the role
Maintains an acceptable level of cleanliness and an improved aesthetic environment for the Surgical department. Performs a variety of general cleaning tasks. Performs daily and terminal cleaning of operating rooms.
Responsibilities
- Performs routine cleaning of operating rooms, nursing units, departments, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, and stairways.
- Affords assistance to the Operating Room team with case cart, equipment, and supply needs.
- Distributes, collects, and processes linens.
- Affords assistance with additional duties such as cryo-machine, autoclave room, ordering food.
- Affords assistance with transport and moving patients. Gets inpatient beds, changes beds and gurneys as needed.
- Sets up rooms based on procedure and surgeon preference with proper equipment, beds, and positioning adjuncts.
- Performs terminal cleaning of surgical suites daily; hallways, sterile processing, sterile core, sub-sterile rooms, anesthesia work room, ancillary rooms, and other areas weekly.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Education and Work Experience: High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred Environmental services experience: Preferred

Pay
The estimated base pay for this position is $17.00 to $25.48. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
