Environmental Services Associate

Cleaning Duties

• Collects and removes trash from assigned patient and public areas daily.
• Sanitizes all surfaces in assigned areas.
• Stocks paper items, cleaning solutions, and other supplies in assigned areas as necessary or designated.

Other Duties

• Demonstrates knowledge of infection control and isolation procedures.
• Operates cleaning and trash carts, and janitorial supplies.
• Stages soiled linen for pick-up.
• Disposes of normal and biohazardous waste.
• Cleans and disinfects areas containing bodily fluids in accordance with facility standards.
• Documents all work performed.
• Accesses ancillary units, restrooms, and offices in assigned areas.

Technology Utilization

• Utilizes Bed Management system to maintain productive flow of beds.
• Uses hand-held technology for tracking.

Equipment Operation

• Operates cleaning and trash carts.
• Uses other janitorial supplies.

Documentation

• Documents all work performed.

Additional Responsibilities
