Environmental Services Area Cleaner
About the role
Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital is a top regional hospital in South Florida that provides family-centric and community-focused care. As an Environmental Services Area Cleaner, you will join a collaborative and innovative team of caregivers.
Responsibilities
- Clean patient rooms, ancillary areas, exam rooms, offices, waiting areas, public restrooms, discharge rooms and other assigned areas.
- Wipe down surfaces, clean spills, empty garbage cans, clean furniture and other tasks as assigned.
- Stock paper items and other supplies in exam rooms and restrooms.
- Inform team leader and supervisory team when low on supplies.
- Follow departmental policies and standard operating procedures.
- Follow and adhere to hospital wide and departmental quality and safety requirements.
- Complete one to three months of on-the-job training to learn departmental policies and procedures, various cleaning techniques and proper use and storage of cleaning agents and chemicals.
Requirements
You will work days from 7:00AM – 3:30PM, including every other weekend and holiday. This role is a steppingstone to other careers within Environmental Services and other departments within Cleveland Clinic.
Qualifications
A caregiver in this position must have a High School Diploma or GED and previous environmental services experience in a hospital setting. Experience working in a fast-paced environment is preferred.
Skills
Strong attention to detail, ability to follow directions, and strong interpersonal skills are essential.
