Environmental Services Aide
Essential Functions
- Clean patient rooms, restrooms, lounges, offices, corridors, walls, and windows according to daily schedule.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, scrub, and shine floors; replenish paper and soap products; clean mirrors, sinks, and toilets.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums and floor scrubbers.
- Collect and remove trash from all areas of the facility daily.
- Stock linens throughout the hospital to ensure unit readiness.
- Adhere to all infection control policies and report safety hazards to supervisors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Information
Maintain professionalism in interactions with patients, visitors, and staff. Demonstrate attention to detail and the ability to follow cleaning protocols.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior experience in a hospital or healthcare setting preferred; cleaning or housekeeping experience strongly preferred.
Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors, and hospital staff.
