About the role

The Environmental Services Aide is responsible for regular maintenance of clean and sanitary areas for hospital patients and staff. Duties include spotting necessary cleaning outside of regular maintenance, gathering and emptying of trash, and cleaning of spills and smudges on various surfaces.

Responsibilities

  • Spot necessary cleaning outside of regular maintenance duties
  • Gather and empty trash
  • Clean spills and smudges on different types of surfaces
  • Maintain cleaning supplies
  • Understand and practice safe methods of cleaning supplies
  • Know best practices of cleaning chemicals
  • Display excellent customer service in interactions with patients, family, coworkers, and visitors
  • Perform other duties as required

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Previous experience in cleaning services preferred
  • Caring and compassionate attitude

Qualifications

  • Excellent customer service skills
