Environmental Service Worker - Nights + Weekends & Holidays
About the role
Our housekeeping staff is essential to ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment for our patients and their families. From friendly smiles and conversations, to the continuous focus on infection control, our housekeeping professionals help to provide a positive experience for everyone within our hospital. This is a Full Time night shift position including weekends, weekdays, and holidays at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital located at 56-45 Main Street, Flushing NY 11355.
Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and a culture of compassion, caring, warmth and support within our hospital.
- Interact with patients and their families, go beyond for patients and deliver superior customer service.
- Work shifts including weekdays, weekends and holidays.
- Register with the 1199 Job Security Fund.
- Every other weekend after the first 2 years.
Requirements
- Extensive customer service experience and a desire to Put Patients First.
- Experience in the healthcare, hotel, restaurant or retail industry.
- A high school diploma or GED is highly desired, but not required.
Qualifications
- Strong commitment to providing an outstanding patient experience.
- Ability to read, write and follow specific oral and written instructions.
Skills
- Customer service skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Physical stamina for cleaning tasks.

Pay
$23.47-$25.55/Hourly
Schedule
11:00 pm to 7:00 am Weekdays, weekends and holidays.
