Environmental Service Tech (Full Time) Evenings

About the Role

Maintains the appearance and sanitation of all areas of Mercy Hospital including patient rooms, diagnostic testing rooms, waiting areas, staff areas, examination rooms, and operating rooms in accordance with infection control regulations.

Responsibilities

• Disposes of trash, recyclables, and medical waste according to policies and procedures.
• Regularly wears personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Uses bleach and other hospital-approved disinfectants and cleaning products.
• Operates both a pager and computers to receive and send communication about patient rooms.
• Hangs cubicle curtains as needed.
• Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with Mercy’s mission, values, guiding principles, and service standards.
• Performs all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Must be able to read and understand basic instructions.
• Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.

Preferred Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
