About the role
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring all required tasks on a project are completed from proposal to final invoice payment. They act as the main point of contact for clients and are expected to have a positive customer service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the scope of work matches the proposed scope.
- Develop site work plans including sample/boring locations, equipment needs, safety requirements, and subcontractor logistics.
- Manage remediation system design, installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Manage underground storage tank assessments and ensure proper licensing and protocol compliance.
- Manage project budgets and prepare change orders.
- Schedule, train, and oversee subordinate staff members.
- Prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
- Oversee environmental projects and assist junior staff with issues.
- Communicate project completion milestones and advise on significant changes.
- Lead client meetings and calls to discuss findings and conclusions.
- Prepare and review environmental reports and perform peer/senior reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Geoscience, Civil Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 8+ years of related environmental consulting experience.
- Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
Skills and Abilities
- Extensive knowledge of environmental principles and applications.
- Extensive knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods.
- Extensive ability to manage and develop new clients.
- Excellent ability to manage and develop new clients.
- Extensive ability to delegate and assign projects and tasks to other staff.
