Environmental Senior Project Manager

About the role

The Senior Project Manager is responsible for ensuring all required tasks on a project are completed from proposal to final invoice payment. They act as the main point of contact for clients and are expected to have a positive customer service attitude and understanding of ECS Core Values.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the scope of work matches the proposed scope.
• Develop site work plans including sample/boring locations, equipment needs, safety requirements, and subcontractor logistics.
• Manage remediation system design, installation, operation, and maintenance.
• Manage underground storage tank assessments and ensure proper licensing and protocol compliance.
• Manage project budgets and prepare change orders.
• Schedule, train, and oversee subordinate staff members.
• Prioritize tasks and meet project deadlines.
• Oversee environmental projects and assist junior staff with issues.
• Communicate project completion milestones and advise on significant changes.
• Lead client meetings and calls to discuss findings and conclusions.
• Prepare and review environmental reports and perform peer/senior reviews.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor and/or Master of Science in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology, Geoscience, Civil Engineering, or a relevant field.
• Minimum 8+ years of related environmental consulting experience.
• Professional Geologist (PG) or Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Extensive knowledge of environmental principles and applications.
• Extensive knowledge of permitting processes, environmental regulations, and environmental test methods.
• Extensive ability to manage and develop new clients.
• Excellent ability to manage and develop new clients.
• Extensive ability to delegate and assign projects and tasks to other staff.
