Responsibilities

  • Apply and adhere to storm water rules and regulations (TXR050000, TXR15000, TXG11000) and SPCC (40 CFR 112).
  • Prepare and maintain reports for storm water projects, both regulatory and internal.
  • Participate in department cross-training programs to enhance skills across environmental service areas.
  • Adhere to and participate in Raba Kistner's Health and Safety and Behavior Based Safety Programs, setting a safety example.
  • Focus on client/customer retention and development/growth.
  • Perform as a backup inspector as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in environmental science/engineering, chemistry, geology, biology, or related field.
  • One (1) - three (3) years’ of applicable experience.
  • 40 hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification.
  • Valid driver’s license within the applicable jurisdiction and meeting firm’s auto insurability requirements.
  • Good oral and written communication skills, ability to work in teams, and proficiency in reading and interpreting technical documents.
  • Detail-oriented and willing to work within a team.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Self-motivated with a good attendance record and capable of working independently.
  • Able to analyze, problem-solve, and recommend solutions.
  • Limited practical experience in environmental compliance, geosciences, and natural resources projects or tasks, or willingness to learn these skills.
  • Limited practical experience in field sample collection protocols and procedures, or willingness to learn these skills.
  • Able to operate standard field equipment and tools to support client needs.
  • Able to ensure safe usage and maintenance of company vehicle and field equipment.
  • Able to drive company vehicle, manage and complete all assigned jobs, efficiently and on time.
  • Able to maneuver over rough and uneven terrain.
