About the role
As an Environmental Scientist for the Solid Waste Management Program, you will be responsible for the general implementation of the solid waste program for an assigned region and facilities including permit reviews and permit writing; technical evaluation of facilities, systems, operations, and equipment to determine compliance with environmental control laws, regulations, and policies; and supporting the program manager in execution of program-related tasks.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in natural or physical science with emphasis in biology, chemistry, microbiology, environmental science, or closely related field
- Two (2) years of related experience

- Valid driver’s license to travel to site locations
- Effective communication and intrapersonal skills to engage with stakeholders
- Enforce rules objectively, consistently, and fairly
Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Benefits
- Starting salary is $5484/month for an Environmental Scientist II and $6042/month for an Environmental Scientist III, depending on experience
