Responsibilities
- Mentor and guide the team in environmental emergencies
- Collaborate closely with clients and agencies to ensure effective response and resolution
- Take the reins in environmental emergencies
- Lead a small project team
- Manage the deployment of project resources
- Conduct assurance reviews within the project
- Manage the delivery of research, workshops, and other activities to support the specification and agreement of project deliverables
- Manage the project scope definition
- Manage the project planning
- Manage the project reporting and review
- Manage the project resource management
- Manage the project risk and issue management
- Manage the project closeout and handover
- Contribute to post-project reviews and identification of lessons learned
- Manage the project team management
- Coordinate the identification and elicitation of requirements
- Document and manage requirements throughout the life of the project
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or a related field
- General Experience: Over 3 years to 6 years
- Managerial Experience: 7 to 12 months
- Experienced in emergency preparedness, air monitoring, environmental assessment/sampling, ICS, SCAT, PHMSA
- Experience with railroad and pipeline related emergencies a plus
Qualifications
- Willingness to respond to call outs during non-routine working hours
- Act as the first point of contact for clients for new emergency projects
Skills
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Proven experience in emergency response and management
- Knowledge of environmental engineering, geology, or related fields
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies

Pay
$72,019 - $120,011, varies based on location and experience.
