About the role

CDM Smith is seeking a talented scientist/technician to join our research team in the Bellevue Research and Testing Laboratory. This position supports cutting-edge treatability and laboratory research projects for clients across CDM Smith’s environment, water, PFAS, and energy markets, from both administrative and technical standpoints. The ideal candidate is team-oriented, capable of working independently with guidance, has high attention to detail, and is comfortable learning new skills to assist and execute experiments based on documented work plans.

Responsibilities

• Support treatability and laboratory research projects for a variety of clients.
• Assist in executing experiments based on documented work plans and guidance from the project technical lead.
• Apply basic knowledge of scientific methods, regulations, and field protocols.
• Coordinate logistics and manage project constraints (budget, scope, schedule).
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required (10% or less).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Science or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft business software (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of physical, chemical, and biological hazards at the laboratory scale.
• Valid driver’s license.

Pay

Pay range: $59,862 – $92,768 USD. Salary is determined by role, experience, skills, certifications, education, and geographic location. All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may not apply to this position.
