Environmental Sanitor, PM, Deli - Lakeland

Description

Cleaning and sanitizing smoke trucks (racks), large plastic combos, smoke sticks, baskets, garbage cans and other equipment as needed.

Cleaning and sanitizing of coolers, storage rooms and docks, including floors and drains, and removal of processing waste and trash.

Operating the automatic tree (rack) wash, hand jacks, electric pallet jacks, fork lifts, high lifts, floor scrubbers and other equipment as needed, once properly trained.

Assisting all departments in all areas of the food plant as needed.

Adhering to all safety and quality policies while on Publix property.

Required Qualifications

• At least 18 years old
• Demonstrate excellent work habits in line with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Demonstrate safe working habits
• Able to lift in excess of 50 pounds frequently
• Able to push roll equipment that weighs in excess of 650 pounds
• Possess general knowledge of machine operation with the ability to recognize problems when they occur
• Able to bend/stoop squat down, etc.
• Able to learn and perform all positions
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment
• Able to attend forklift, pallet jack, floor scrubber and high lift training
• Able to work any shift, nights, weekends, holidays, and extended hours
• Able to have excellent attendance and punctuality
• Able to assist other team members in other areas
• Able to perform steady and productive work for an extended period of time
• Able to work efficiently with little or no supervision
• Able to follow detailed written and verbal instructions
• Possess basic math skills
• Able to communicate effectively
• Show enthusiasm, initiative, and pride in work
