We are actively seeking a talented Environmental Remediation Project Manager for our Albuquerque, New Mexico office, with both internal and external responsibilities across New Mexico and the broader Southwest region. Responsibilities

  • Oversee preparation of work plans and organize project studies to meet scope, schedule, and quality objectives.
  • Interface directly with the technical project manager and cross-disciplinary project teams to deliver projects on scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Understand and incorporate client requirements, including commercial contract terms, change management processes, and financial performance KPIs.
  • Use client and AECOM-prescribed tools to track and manage the financial aspects of projects (forecasting, invoicing, cost control, earned value).
  • Ensure all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and meet budgetary objectives, while proactively adjusting project constraints based on financial analysis.
  • Lead internal coordination and external client communications, including progress reporting, risk management, and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 4+ years of relevant environmental remediation experience, and/or demonstrated equivalency of experience and education. US Citizen or US Permanent Resident.
  • Preferred Requirements: 15+ years of experience in site investigation and remediation. 5+ years of project management experience. Professional certification preferred (e.g., PE/PG, Chartered Engineer/Geologist, PMP). Superior communication, writing, editing, and reporting skills for a wide variety of audiences. Track record of successfully managing environmental projects for various client types (public and private). Detail-oriented with strong organizational and verbal/written communication skills. Experience in team management and scheduling of staff and resources to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery. Experience preparing proposals, cost estimates, schedules, and change orders; ability to support client development in the New Mexico market.
