Environmental Remediation Intern - Summer 2027
for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule). Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. Do NOT repeat the job title as a heading (the page already shows it) and do NOT put Job ID / requisition numbers as headings — fold minor metadata into a short
or drop it. Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail. Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions. IMPORTANT: include a section ONLY when the posting has real, specific content for it — never emit a heading followed by filler/placeholder text (e.g. "commensurate with experience", "not specified", "N/A", "varies", "TBD") and never create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless the posting actually states them. Prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones.
Thus we need to decide which sections to include.
We have:
- Responsibilities: description of duties (field work, assist team, etc). Could be a section "Responsibilities".
- Requirements: list of qualifications (degree, rising junior, Microsoft Office, willingness to field work and travel, US citizenship, drivers license, ability to work from approved location, ideally 3.0 GPA, previous internship, communication, self-driven time management, ability to obtain HAZWOPER training). That's a list.
- Benefits: mention 401(k) plan, legally mandated benefits. That's benefits.
- Pay: base salary range $47,300 to $60,000, paid hourly based on hours worked, individual pay determined by location etc. That's pay.
- Schedule: hybrid working policy, split work week between offices/projects and remote locations, field work 85% etc. Could be schedule.
We could also have "About the role" but maybe redundant with responsibilities. The instruction says prefer a few substantive sections over many thin ones. Could combine responsibilities and about role? But we need headings for each section we include. Could do: Responsibilities, Requirements, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. That's five sections.
Check if any content duplicated: The intro paragraph about Jacobs mission maybe could be part of About the role. But we could put that in Responsibilities? Actually it's more about company mission. Could be "About the role" includes that intro plus impact statement. But we already have responsibilities detailed. Might be better to have "About the role" with the introductory paragraph about Jacobs and impact, then "Responsibilities" with specific duties. However that may be thin? Let's see.
About the role content: "At Jacobs, we're challenging today to reinvent tomorrow by solving the world's most critical problems for thriving cities, resilient environments, mission-critical outcomes, operational advancement, scientific discovery and cutting-edge manufacturing, turning abstract ideas into realities that transform the world for good. Your impact As an Environmental Remediation Intern, you will too. You'll impact the world around you by helping us solve real-life challenges. YOU are the future of our company. We’ll rely on you to provide support to our teams on critical projects while fostering a culture of continuous learning as you bring fresh ideas to the table. Based out of an approved Jacobs office location, including but not limited to Milwaukee, WI; Atlanta, GA; Bellevue, WA; Irvine, CA; and Chicago, IL. You will assist a team of project managers, scientists, geologists, and engineers in delivering environmental services on time and within budget for world class projects. You’ll work with a knowledgeable and supportive group of professional staff as you plan and execute field activities including soil sampling, groundwater sampling, and remediation system maintenance; prepare scopes of work for subcontracts, conduct data analysis on field and laboratory data sets, and create technical reports documenting completed activities and results. Estimated time spent doing field work is approximately 85%, with some of that being out-of-town travel. When not traveling, you will work with team members within your assigned office. Pave the way for your career with a company that inspires and empowers you to deliver your best work so you can evolve, grow, and succeed – today and into tomorrow."
That's a lot of content, could be About the role.
Then Responsibilities could be maybe a subset? But the above already includes responsibilities. To avoid duplication, we could just have About the role covering all that, and then Requirements, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. That seems reasonable.
Check if any content left out: The "Here's what you'll need" list is requirements. The benefits paragraph. The pay paragraph. The hybrid working policy and field work 85% maybe schedule.
We should not include EEO boilerplate, job posted date, etc.
We need to output only HTML fragment, no /, no markdown.
Thus produce something like:

The "Estimated time spent doing field work is approximately 85%, with some of that being out-of-town travel." is in About the role.
The "When not traveling, you will work with team members within your assigned office." also there.
The "Pave the way for your career..." also there.
Thus we covered.
We need to ensure no duplicate content: The responsibilities list is not separate; we used About the role to cover all duties. That's fine.
Check if any content about "Your health. Your well-being. Your security. Your future." is part of benefits; we turned into a list item but could keep as prose. The instruction: Use - for any list of duties/requirements/benefits, and
for prose. Benefits is a list? It's just one item; we could keep as
