Environmental Project Scientist (MN - Remote)

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct site visits of wireless communications facilities and commercial properties.
  • Take detailed field notes, photographs, and conduct interviews.
  • Perform regulatory agency file reviews, review historic data, and environmental databases.
  • Draft standardized reports in accordance with ASTM E-1527-13 (AAI).
  • Conduct preliminary screenings of listed and/or proposed threatened or endangered species, critical habitat, National Wetland Inventory Maps (NWI), and FEMA Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM).
  • Prepare template NEPA reports after interpreting compiled information.
  • Perform Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) to meet client and management standards within established timelines.

Basic Qualifications

  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Valid Driver License.
  • Ability and willingness to travel (expected to be minimal).
  • Good computer skills.
  • Independent worker capable of conducting fieldwork.
  • Dedicated to excellence.
  • Experience conducting one or more of the following assessments is welcomed but not mandatory: Phase I ESAs, NEPA assessments, Property Condition Assessments (PCAs), Asbestos/lead based paint inspections.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Environmental Science, Geology, Geography, or related fields.
