This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Environmental Project Manager looking to take ownership of projects, mentor junior staff, and build lasting client relationships while working on a diverse portfolio of environmental consulting assignments.In this role, you'll manage environmental projects from proposal through completion, including due diligence, site investigations, remediation, regulatory compliance, and permitting efforts. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, prepare technical reports and proposals, interact with regulatory agencies, and serve as a trusted advisor to clients across a variety of industries.This position offers a primarily office-based environment (approximately 90% office / 10% field) with occasional regional travel to project sites.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Civil Engineering, Geology, or a related field3–8+ years of environmental consulting experienceProject management experience within environmental consultingExperience with Phase I Environmental Site Assessments (ESA), Phase II investigations, due diligence, technical report writing, and proposal preparationExperience managing environmental compliance, permitting, site investigation, and remediation projectsStrong understanding of state and federal environmental regulationsExcellent technical writing, communication, and client relationship skillsAbility to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines and budgetsExperience working with commercial, industrial, financial, or development clients is preferredProfessional licensure (PE or PG) is a plus and reflected in the higher end of the salary rangeValid driver's license with the ability to travel occasionally throughout the regionThe Planet Group is a global professional services firm delivering strategic staffing and advisory solutions.
