About the role

The Environmental Project Manager will manage and perform various tasks on projects as assigned by their supervisor. They will take on increasing responsibilities based on project needs and personal abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and perform asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and indoor air quality assessments, remediation, and abatement as needed.
  • Review daily reports produced by field staff.
  • Perform routine visits to active project sites to ensure appropriate quality and progress.
  • Direct site activities and maintain continuous communication with subordinate field staff and senior managers.

  • Prepare environmental reports, perform analysis, and provide recommendations for review by senior staff.
  • Prepare proposals and change orders, assist with collection efforts, and schedule, train, and oversee subordinate staff members.
  • Manage and perform multiple projects simultaneously, including preparing change orders and overseeing project budgets.
  • Communicate with clients on a daily basis, maintain a client database, and host or attend project discussions with clients.
  • Communicate project completion milestones with clients and advise on significant directional changes.
  • Mentor junior staff and support their development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Health, Environmental Engineering, Geology, or a related environmental field.
  • Minimum 2 years of related consulting experience.
  • Absolutely required: Asbestos Inspector certification.
  • Desired: Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), or equivalent professional licensure.

Qualifications

  • US Military ranks E-6 may qualify for this position if they meet the education and licenses requirements listed above.
