Environmental Project Manager - 8 years minimum experience
About the role
AECOM is seeking a middle to Senior Project Manager (PM V) to support our Environmental Remediation projects in Hawaii and Guam. This position will be based in Honolulu.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall management administration to project and assists in establishing project specific objectives and policies.
- Provides management and guidance to subordinate managers, enforces company and project policies, and a primary liaison between AECOM and client interface.
- Oversees and ensures all facets of the project are constructed in accordance with design, budget and schedule through subordinate managers and supervisors.
- Administers the project from budgeting/schedule stage through procurement and contract closeout.
- Position has significant profit/loss responsibility for assigned project.
Qualifications
- Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science or related discipline and 8 plus years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
- US Citizen, for access to DoD project sites.
- Ability to travel at least 10% of the time.
- Must successfully pass preemployment background check, and motor vehicle records check.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in environmental engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related discipline.
- Ability to successfully obtain a DBIDs pass to gain access to any required federal military installation site locations.
- Experienced with CERCLA and environmental science principles, including site assessment and characterization, remediation, risk assessment, environmental chemistry, etc.
- Current 40-Hour HAZWOPER and Supervisor certifications and meeting the medical clearance requirements of an OSHA (HAZWOPER) medical surveillance physical examination.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Professional registration.
- Experience using Microsoft Office (Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint) and preparing technical reports.
- Knowledgeable and experienced working on State of Hawaii, Department of Health TGM, SCP, and local environmental regulation.
- Extensive DOD and CLEAN Experience in Hawaii and Guam.
- Proven project estimating experience, preferably environmental.
- Demonstrated experience with Client and Regulatory interactions.
- Excellent skills in written and spoken communication (including polished client presentation skills), organization, time management.
- Field work might be required, including oversight of subcontractors.
