About the role

The Environmental Project Coordinator is a key member of the national operations team who works closely with the sales and production teams to ensure that all environmental projects in their assigned area are staffed appropriately, and job files and documentation are tracked and organized. The role supports four key functions: processing and submitting all permits, quality job documentation, ensuring all state training requirements are met, and total state compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Owns the project file documentation from set-up to close, ensuring a quality file product in collaboration with Sales, Project Managers, and field staff.
  • Processes and submits permits.
  • Tracks and coordinates asbestos certifications for environmental employees.
  • Tracks and organizes job files, paperwork, and documentation.
  • Complies with any other state requirements.
  • Assists in preparing "Per Diem" request forms for Project Manager approval.
  • Collects necessary backup to support billing.
  • Holds weekly compliance meetings with all EN offices.
  • Develops Excel documents to track multiple required tasks.

Requirements

  • 5–10 years of administrative experience, preferably in environmental/construction.
  • Positive attitude and exceptional customer service skills.
  • Highly professional in all conduct and communication.
  • Ability to be highly organized and manage time efficiently.
  • Team player—able to collaborate at all levels throughout the organization.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and resourcefulness.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently.
  • Persistent when appropriate.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook).

Qualifications

Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience preferred; High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

The work environment is typically quiet. The role requires regular sitting, use of hands and fingers, reaching with hands and arms, talking, and hearing. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and regularly move and walk around the office.

Travel

Minimal travel. Some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected for training or meetings.
