Position Summary

Supports environmental permitting and compliance activities for pipeline and facilities projects in the Southwest Division (SWD), primarily in Texas and New Mexico.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supports environmental permitting for projects on federal, state, and private lands
  • Affirmatively complies with National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and New Mexico State Land Office (SLO) requirements
  • Coordinates with external consultants to compile environmental and permitting documents
  • Supports compliance with Bureau of Land Management (BLM), State Land Office (SLO), US Army Corps (USACE), and US Fish and Wildlife Service (USFWS) requirements
  • Establishes a working relationship with key personnel at regulatory agencies
  • Collaborates with internal project teams to support routing guidance and schedules
  • Tracks environmental deliverables, permit status, and agency requests
  • Maintains organized project files and records
  • Supports Oracle invoicing and purchase order (PO) tracking

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • Interest in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance
  • Basic knowledge of NEPA, Clean Water Act (CWA), and Endangered Species Act (ESA)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required (up to 30%)
  • Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
  • Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing

Preferred Qualifications

  • Preferred 5+ years of experience
  • Preferred Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field
  • Preferred Interest in environmental permitting and regulatory compliance
  • Preferred Basic knowledge of NEPA, Clean Water Act (CWA), and Endangered Species Act (ESA)
  • Preferred Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills
  • Preferred Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Preferred Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required (up to 30%)
  • Preferred Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks
  • Preferred Compliance with the Company’s drug and alcohol policy including pre-employment D&A testing
