Environmental Permitting and Compliance Scientist

About the role

The Delta Conveyance Project (DCP) is an essential climate adaptation strategy designed to protect California's vital water resources from future risks such as water supply losses due to climate change, sea level rise, and earthquakes. This project requires a highly motivated, creative team-player to join the DCP team of multi-disciplined environmental professionals.

Responsibilities

• Develop, review, track, organize, and monitor draft documents related to regulatory compliance and scientific services.
• Aid in the planning, monitoring, research, and coordination of DCP related activities.

Requirements

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Biology, Geology, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of relevant experience in environmental permitting and compliance.
• Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and policies applicable to water resources management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools.
• Experience with GIS and data analysis tools.
