Environmental Operator I

Responsibilities

• Maintain wastewater treatment system/equipment, ensuring compliance with environmental protection limits.
• Perform appropriate analytical tests and maintain documentation.
• Monitor movement, removal, storage, labeling, and shipping of hazardous waste.
• Distribute and track inventory of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Track timeliness and perform schedule daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly inspections of various areas, equipment and processes.
• Assist Department Manager with new hire orientation, industrial hygiene studies and test.
• Perform necessary housekeeping in department areas; e.g. baghouses and storm water routes.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree and experience.
• 1-3 years’ manufacturing/plant experience in hazardous material production environment.
• Forklift certification.
• Excellent communication skills – written and verbal.
