Environmental Monitoring Technician
We are seeking an experienced Environmental Monitoring Technician to join our innovative team, playing a vital role in ensuring the safety and compliance of our biosafety cabinets and cleanrooms. As an industry pioneer, we are transitioning from tissue processing to biologics manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct sampling activities in biosafety cabinets and cleanrooms.
- Monitor biohazard risks associated with tissue materials and ensure effective decontamination procedures.
- Collaborate with microbiology and operations teams to maintain environmental monitoring program standards.
- Support the design and continuous improvement of environmental monitoring processes.
- Document and log data into the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Skills
- Experience in environmental monitoring, biologics, quality control, and aseptic techniques.
- Proficiency in GMP practices and swabbing techniques.
- Strong understanding of microbiology.
- Team-oriented individual capable of leading others.
- Willingness to process and handle human and animal tissue-based products.
Qualifications
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in life sciences.
- Prior laboratory training and microbiology experience are advantageous.
- Experience with GMP or GLP from the industry is a plus.
- Experience in biologics, biomedical, medical device manufacturing, or tissue manufacturing is highly regarded.
Work Environment
The work environment includes a clean room setting with a business casual dress code. The position requires a 40-hour workweek from Monday to Friday, with full-time and part-time openings available from Friday to Monday. Shifts are flexible, with options to work 8-hour, 10-hour, or 12-hour shifts across first, second, and third shifts. Shift differentials apply, with an additional $1.50/hour for second shift and $2/hour for third shift.
Pay
$23.00 - $25.00/hour
