About the role
At Conductor Power, we're seeking an Environmental Inspector/Field Engineer to support our utility-scale renewable energy construction project in Jal, New Mexico.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations
- Collaborate with site teams to proactively resolve environmental issues and implement best practices
- Assist with engineering-related tasks such as field documentation, quality checks, and technical coordination
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of environmental compliance or inspection experience, preferably in construction or renewable energy
- Knowledge of environmental regulations including SWPPP, SPCC, Clean Water Act, NEPA, and species/cultural resource protections
- Ability to monitor field activities and report on compliance accurately and professionally
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and inspection reporting tools
- Strong attention to detail, documentation skills, and problem-solving ability
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and navigate active construction sites with uneven terrain
- Occasional lifting (up to 50 pounds), walking, and standing
- Frequent computer use, visual assessments, and verbal communication for reporting and team coordination

Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- College coursework in environmental science, construction, or related fields a plus
- Familiarity with renewable energy construction practices preferred
