About the role

TRC is seeking one or more temporary, on call Environmental Inspector(s) (EI) to provide environmental monitoring and inspection during construction of a FERC-regulated LNG facility in Cameron, Louisiana.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and host compliance training
  • Participate in site walks
  • Perform daily field inspections and compliance inspection reports
  • Prepare and maintain reports relating to project compliance
  • Conduct pre-construction activities, construction monitoring, and prepare monitoring reports
  • Work with construction crews to maintain compliance with permits and regulations
  • Coordinate with agency personnel during agency site visits

Qualifications

  • Must have at least 2 years’ experience in construction monitoring, compliance, and environmental permitting
  • Excellent verbal communications and technical skills are mandatory, along with the ability to maintain a positive attitude working under aggressive schedules
  • Willingness to work 6 days per week and 12-hour days outside in the elements
  • Must have reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Forestry, Biology, Ecology, or related field
  • Experience performing EI and environmental compliance for LNG projects and/or FERC projects
  • Knowledge of and ability to perform environmental compliance and understand permitting regulations of applicable regulatory agencies
  • Knowledge of and the ability to review permit conditions and engineering drawings
  • Other environmental related skills such as wetland delineation
  • Computer and or GIS/GPS skills

In accordance with local law, the below salary range is applicable for the job and location associated with this requisition. Compensation will vary based upon experience, education, skill level, geographical location, and other compensable factors.
