Environmental Health & Safety Internship - Summer 2027

About the role

Springs Window Fashions is looking for a motivated and hardworking individual to join our Environmental Health and Safety Team for a Summer 2027 internship. This paid internship provides an exciting opportunity to assist the team with project support while gaining valuable work experience related to your field of study. The program is known for in-depth, challenging project work with cross-functional teams, as well as professional development, job shadowing, and other growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• EHS Standardization: Support standardizing SOPs, JHA/JSA, and Kaizen Events. Complete SOPs and Hazard Analysis for all plant functions.
• SafeStart Implementation / Ergonomic ErgoFactor: Assist in onsite hands-on experience for plant assessments for EHS maturity and gap analysis.
• EHS Core Principles Enhancements for SBOS: Foster an SBOS mindset to assist with EHS Core Principle—centralized focus based on data analysis.
• Sustainability GHG Tracking: Support an enterprise approach for automated and standardized tracking methods. Collaborate with each business unit to understand vendor sustainability needs from SWF.
• Training Buildout: Develop a turnkey training program for Office Associates and Sales Team, including driving office safety, basic safety needs, and fire hazard prevention.

Requirements

• Previous internship experience in a relevant function preferred.
• Pursuing a 4-year degree with preferred current standing of Sophomore/Junior level.
• Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and attention to detail).
• Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
