We’re looking for an intermediate-level Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist responsible for implementing safety, environmental, and transportation compliance programs across an MRO network. This role partners with operations leaders, warehouse teams, and corporate stakeholders to reduce risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement in workplace safety and environmental performance. Our corporate headquarters is located in Chicago, IL.
Responsibilities
- Safety Leadership: Lead facility safety programs and initiatives.
- Safety Leadership: Conduct comprehensive inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Safety Leadership: Investigate incidents using root cause analysis methodologies.
- Safety Leadership: Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Safety Leadership: Manage EHS-related recordkeeping and regulatory compliance activities.
- Safety Leadership: Facilitate safety committees and engagement programs.
- Environmental Compliance: Manage hazardous waste handling and disposal programs.
- Environmental Compliance: Coordinate environmental reporting requirements.
- Environmental Compliance: Maintain permits and regulatory compliance documentation.
