Job Description
- Interprets, recommends, and complies with environmental, health and safety regulations
- Manages the sites DOD 4145 Contractor Explosive Program
- Ensures DMCA 8201 Contractor Safety requirements are maintained
- Develops, evaluates, and prepares contracts for properly licensed hazardous waste disposal firms
- Ensures proper waste handling and disposal takes place
- Writes and updates environmental and spill-control manuals and procedures
- Prepares environmental program reports and assists with permits, reporting, renewals, inspections and audits
- Supports sites Hazardous Materials, Laser Safety, Radiation Safety programs
- Provides input to federal and state regulators through trade associations and industry groups for the writing and revision of regulations
