Environmental Health and Safety Coordinator - 1st Shift

This role requires U.S. citizenship or lawful permanent residency in accordance with ITAR regulations, as the position involves work with engineering or manufacturing functions of ITAR-controlled products.
Responsibilities
- Conduct new hire safety orientation trainings
- Assist Supervisors with accident investigation and reporting
- Coordinate with outside vendors and suppliers for safety trainings, purchases, and testing
- Perform facility safety inspections and incident & injury investigations
- Improve EHS workplace performance by promoting an incident-free workplace, identifying and mitigating EHS risk
- Maintain injury records
- Develop employee training schedules
- Research and purchase safety personal protective equipment when necessary
- Participate in meetings as appropriate for the department
- Create safety graphs and chart reports using Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Other tasks as assigned
Requirements
- Required background in Environmental and Occupational Health and Safety, preferably from a heavy manufacturing industrial environment
- Familiarity with general industry Cal/OSHA regulations, including Machine Guarding, Lockout Tag Out, Confined Space, Respiratory Protection, Personal Protective Equipment, Industrial Hygiene, Elevated Work Space, and NFPA 70E Arc Flash Safety

- Intermediate computer skills, proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

Pay
$20.50 - $28.31 an hour. This is the lowest to highest hourly rate we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s pay within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
