Environmental Equipment Road Service Mechanic

About the Role

This position will train at Municipal Equipment’s headquarters in Louisville, KY, where you will shadow experienced technicians and travel to various equipment factories to complete your training. At Municipal Equipment, we succeed as a team, and information is freely available.

Responsibilities

Work closely relates to that of a heavy equipment technician, including:

• Troubleshooting and repair of 12-volt electrical systems
• Work on hydraulic systems, including electric over hydraulic and air over hydraulic systems
• Application of electrical theory and reading/writing wiring schematics
• Basic knowledge and maintenance of pneumatic systems
• Fabrication and welding (experience is a plus)
• Class 7/8 chassis experience (a plus)
• Ability to work without direct supervision

Requirements

• High mechanical aptitude
• CDL B or higher must be obtained within 60 days of employment
