The Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) EHS organization is seeking an Environmental Engineer to join our team in Tukwila, WA supporting critical operations in the Puget Sound (Tukwila, Seattle, Kent, Renton). In this role you will support our complex industrial stormwater management portfolio across six facilities, and have primary responsibility for our UST (Underground Storage Tank) and SPCC (Spill Prevention, Control, Countermeasures) programs. Our BDS-Puget Sound Environmental Management team works collaboratively across subject areas (for example, air quality, stormwater, hazardous waste, solid waste, industrial wastewater, spill prevention, and underground storage tanks) to ensure compliance and reduce regulatory risk. You will also work with talented environmental engineers supporting BDS operations across the U.S., and be part of our community of environmental engineers supporting Boeing’s Commercial Airplanes and Global Services businesses. You may provide occasional support to other Boeing operations in the local (Central Puget Sound) area.
Responsibilities
- Support the stormwater management program, with primary responsibility for one or more sites (includes WA industrial stormwater general permit and construction stormwater permit activities).
- Work with local, regional, and state environmental regulatory agencies.
