Environmental Engineer I / II

About the role

As an Environmental Engineer you will be primarily responsible for ensuring daily compliance for EB-Quonset Point's Air Compliance Program. This position is located at the Quonset Point facility in North Kingstown, RI. Daily interface with Operations, Management, the customer and regulatory personnel is critical to ensuring the success of the compliance program and the effective resolution to problems. The candidate must be a self-starter, possess strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and be very effective in writing and communicating. Must be highly motivated and require little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring compliance with the facility operating permit
• Preparation of comprehensive state and federal reports
• Possess an understanding of air dispersion modeling
• Database management utilizing Microsoft Access and other software
• Detailed review and oversight of recordkeeping requirements
• Review of new and proposed work tasks and equipment affecting air emissions
• Wide variety of other environmental engineering subject matters

Requirements

• Bachelor's of Science Degree or higher in Environmental Engineering or related field
• 0-5 years technical experience in environmental engineering, preferably in air compliance
• Experience working with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access
• Experience utilizing data analysis techniques

Preferred qualifications

• Working knowledge of environmental regulations
• 2 years technical experience in environmental engineering, preferably in air compliance
