Position Overview
We have an exciting opportunity for an Early Career Geologist, Engineer, or Environmental Scientist in our Albuquerque, New Mexico office to support a wide range of multidisciplinary projects in New Mexico and elsewhere while growing your career. The role will include supporting field efforts and office tasks on a variety of environmental investigation, characterization, remediation and monitoring projects for commercial, state and federal clients.
Responsibilities
- Carry out environmental fieldwork, including soil, groundwater, soil gas, and other environmental media sampling.
- Provide oversight of subcontractors, including drillers.
- Support remediation projects, including contaminated soil and hazardous waste sites.
- Operate and maintain field equipment.
- Follow sampling protocols, including chain-of-custody procedures.
- Document field activities through logs, photos, and all types of field data.
- Aid in summarizing field activities, preparing technical reports, and regulatory documentation.
- Adhere to and promote safety protocols.
Required Qualifications
- Experience executing environmental fieldwork.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or related science.
- 2-5 years of relevant experience.
- Strong data collection and documentation skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe PDF, and other standard business computer programs.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel for extended rotations.
- Ability to pass background checks to support projects on military installations.
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
Desired Qualifications
- GIT or EIT certification.
- OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER Certification and 8-hour HAZWOPER supervisor certification.
- First Aid/CPR certifications.
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Use of AI in the application process.
