About the role

We're seeking an Environmental Engineer to support our efforts in regulatory compliance, operational sustainability, and continuous improvement. You'll collaborate across departments, lead projects, and contribute to making our operations more efficient and environmentally responsible.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in air permitting, emission reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance monitoring for operations conversion.
  • Maintain air inventory records, monitor air permits, assess capital expenditures for permitting impacts, and deepen air regulatory knowledge.
  • Develop, implement, and update environmental compliance records, plans, and reports.
  • Ensure all applicable environmental permits are up-to-date and managed effectively.
  • Partner with divisions to implement environmental compliance programs, manage changes, and drive continuous improvement.
  • Create and deliver training materials to educate staff on environmental regulations and best practices.
  • Complete compliance records and reports for federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
  • Coordinate and participate in internal audits of environmental and divisional programs.
  • Drive strategic objectives for environmental projects, ensuring alignment with all stakeholders.
  • Manage environmental technical projects, maintaining accountability and understanding across various levels of stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Working knowledge of environmental regulations, particularly air regulations (CAA, BACT, RACT) preferred.
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage with colleagues at all levels.
  • Excellent data management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proactive problem-solving skills and a curious mindset to explore root causes.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
