Environmental Engineer*

The Environmental Engineer role involves collaborating with innovative colleagues around the world, transitioning from other private, public, government, or military experience to a 3M career. Key responsibilities include developing and implementing environmental programs, ensuring regulatory compliance, analyzing environmental data, and communicating project status to leadership.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement environmental programs/practices aimed to mitigate hazards and ensure compliance within the site.
- Interpret, implement, coordinate, and maintain the regulatory compliance rhythm to assure completion of reporting and recording for applicable Federal, State and Local Environmental Permits, regulations, and programs.
- Analyze environmental data, self-assessments, reports, trends, and communicate findings and recommendations for correction of gaps to operational leadership.
- Evaluate complex regulatory challenges across environmental medias related to dynamic manufacturing operations.
- Establish and cultivate a network of intra-divisional support to facilitate completion of environmental assignments.
- Communicate environmental projects and/or program status and results to operational leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or Environmental Engineering discipline (verified prior to start).
- Additional qualifications include internships, co-ops, and/or 1-2 years of related Environmental or Engineering experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
- Proven track record working with teams.
- Leadership experience in previous roles, clubs, extra-curricular activities, or other organizations.

Pay
The expected compensation range for this position is $81,983 - $100,202, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. Specific compensation offered may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. Schedule
This role follows an on-site working model at the 3M facility in Cordova, IL. Travel may include up to 10% domestic/international. Relocation may be authorized.
