Environmental/ EHS Lead Auditor

About the role

DQS Inc. is seeking experienced ISO 14001/45001/RC Lead Auditors to join their team. This position requires a successful work history, strong interpersonal and organizational skills, and excellent written and oral communication abilities. Candidates must be able to work in a virtual, home-based environment and travel within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Achieve customer needs through assessment of environmental management systems (EMS) principles and methods.
• Evaluate customer satisfaction and meet quality standards for services.
• Work independently and maintain a professional image in all interactions.
• Apply critical thinking skills to address concerns logically and effectively.
• Manage and conduct 2nd and/or 3rd party certifications for ISO 14001, 14001, and 45001 audits.
• Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure clear understanding and implementation of standards.

Requirements

• Pass the RAB or IRCA approved 36- to 40-hour ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001 EMS training course with exam, or hold an Exemplar Global competency-based Lead Auditor certificate.
• Hold a 2 or 4-Year College Degree and/or have at least 5 years of auditing experience.
• Extensive travel within the United States and Canada is required.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in environmental and occupational health and safety auditing, as well as experience with quality management systems and 2nd and/or 3rd party certifications.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage projects efficiently.
