Environmental Courier/Laboratory Technician

A Day in the Life

• Picking up samples from customers and collecting water or soil samples.
• Delivering sampling supplies to customer locations.
• Returning samples to the laboratory.
• Providing courteous, respectful, responsive and excellent client service to internal and external clients.
• Maintaining the company vehicle in optimal driving condition.
• Maintaining a clean vehicle, both inside and outside.
• Informing supervisor within 3 days if ticketed or arrested for driving related offences outside of work, and immediately if the event happens on the job.
• Periodically performing basic laboratory analyses at our Service Center Microbiology Laboratory.
• Carrying out time-sensitive analytical tests.
• Accurately reporting test results in company LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System).

Compensation and Schedule

The compensation range for this role is $18.00 to $20.00, commensurate with experience, skills, and geographic location. This is a full-time position working Monday - Friday with occasional overtime.

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs into their vehicle.
• Able to lift at least 50 lbs into their vehicle.
• Driving record that meets the Montrose requirements for operating company vehicles.

Skills

• Good driving and safety skills.
• Courteous and communicative.
• Basic Laboratory experience is a plus.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements

• Sitting, standing, and walking.
• Lifting 50 pounds several times a day.
• Overhead lifting of over 20 pounds.
• Works in an office environment.
• May be exposed to hot and cold environments.
• May occasionally work shifts up to 12 hours in duration.
