Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and document environmental field compliance on a power transmission line construction project.
  • Review scopes of work, draft construction permits and compliance plans.
  • Collect and analyze multi-media sampling.
  • Perform environmental observations and audits.
  • Track and manage regulatory reporting requirements.

Requirements

  • Prefer Bachelor or Associate degree with emphasis in environmental studies, natural sciences, engineering, or related field.
  • 2+ years of environmental compliance or related construction experience.
  • Knowledgeable with environmental construction compliance topics and applicable regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Organization, time management skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite software.
  • Previous experience advising utility construction teams on environmental compliance issues.
  • Ability to negotiate compliance issues and act as a liaison of company project management for regulatory visits or issues.
  • Experience with New York State Public Service Law Article VII environmental approval process and project construction requirements.

Qualifications

  • Full-time role for 48+ month construction project duration.
  • Regional travel can also be expected to support other Michels environmental needs.
  • Experience in linear construction projects (desired).
  • Geographic Information Systems (GIS) experience (desired).
  • A valid driver’s license for the type(s) of vehicles you may be driving and an acceptable driving record.

Pay

The anticipated salary range is $65,000 - $84,500 annually. This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current market data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Actual pay will be adjusted based on an individual's skills, experience, education, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
