Responsibilities
- Audit and manage environmental compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations.
- Assist in preparing and submitting required land, water, and air quality permit applications to State and Federal government agencies.
- Work with management to identify new sites and develop mining and operational plans that balance resource value with permit compliance.
- Lead, train, and inspect mining and construction operations to ensure adherence to all permit requirements.
- Prepare for and participate in public hearings regarding land use requests with local governments or decision-making bodies.
- Maintain and oversee environmental permit files, lease renewals, and permit conditions.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with the public and local government units through effective communication and engagement.
- Manage Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure programs and perform regular operations inspections to identify and address non-compliance issues.
- Oversee annual training sessions focused on environmental regulations, compliance practices, and company policies.
- Travel to sites outside of Idaho as needed.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Management or a related field, or at least 5 years of experience in environmental program management for industry, a regulatory agency, or a similar organization.
- Experience in writing environmental permit applications or scientific reports.
- Experience in public speaking and presenting to various audiences.
- Preferred experience with drone applications and ArcGIS software.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

- Basic understanding of GIS and drone technology.

Pay
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $80,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
