Environmental Cleanup

Main duties

• Dust Collection
• Clean any powder spills that may result from bag change outs
• Aid with dust collection butterfly valve rebuilds and change puts
• Aid with filter and filter seal change outs when scheduled
• Maintain banding and palletizing of all powder bags
• Prepare powder for shipments to outside vendors
• Coordinate these shipments with customer service to ensure proper scheduling with the outside vendors
• Recycling
• Maintain cardboard bins and the cardboard compactor
• Maintain paper and plastic recycling
• Maintain metal recycling and schedule shipments to Omni Source
• Promote overall recycling to meet recycling reward on a yearly basis
• Empty graphite material barrels and schedule shipments with shipping team leader
• Grounds Maintenance
• Pick up trash around the outside yard
• Use weed killer during the summer months to maintain weed-free areas in tank farm areas
• Assist with snow removal and salting during the winter months
• Maintain the painting of lines in the parking lot
• Clean oil storage units and ensure that nothing is leaking, replace oil absorbent pads as needed
• Ensure that all pallets are disposed of properly
• Pant Wide Trash
• Assist with emptying and removing trash from plant
• Aid with confined space entry guidelines to ensure there is an attendant present
• Aid with confined space when other areas of shop need assistance, such as with scrubber rebuilds

Requirements

• Suggested high school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• One or two years related experience and/or training
• Equivalent combination of education and experience
