Environmental Attendant

About the Role

Maintain the hospital environment in a clean and sanitary condition through disinfecting surfaces and organizing areas in an attractive manner. Present a customer-focused and friendly atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Maintains all assigned areas by washing furnishings with approved disinfectants and arranging furniture and accessories per established standards.
• Empties, cleans, and relines waste receptacles following universal precautions; empties soiled linen hampers and disposes of correctly via linen chute.
• Dusts, sweeps, and vacuums assigned areas according to departmental standards and reports all stains.
• Checks and replenishes all disposable supplies daily as needed (e.g., soap, paper towels, toilet tissue) in all assigned areas.
• Cleans and maintains all equipment in proper working order, reporting any need for repairs to supervisor.

• Ability to read and follow oral and written instructions.
• Professional mannerism that positively impacts patients, visitors, staff, and coworkers.

Pay

Pay range: $17.50—$24 USD per hour.
