About the role

The Environmental Services Technician at CHI Mercy Health of Roseburg is responsible for keeping patient rooms and all designated facility areas clean and sanitized. This includes performing routine cleaning tasks like sweeping, mopping, and dusting, using specialized equipment, and adhering to proper disposal techniques for biohazard materials.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, and dusting.
• Use specialized equipment and techniques to sanitize the facility.
• Dispose of biohazard materials according to department policies.
• Refill soap dispensers, paper towel dispensers, and other supplies.
• Deliver clean linens as needed.
• Clean walls, beds, commodes, mirrors, showers, fixtures, doors, closets, drawers, phones, inside windows, water fountains, and other designated areas.
• Follow department policies and procedures on cleaning, disinfecting, and deodorizing.
• Respond to pages and clean up major spills promptly.
• Restock housekeeping carts at the end of each shift.
• Stripping, waxing, and polishing floors as required.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Healthcare experience preferred.

Pay

The posted compensation range is $17.67 - $24.96 /hour.
