About the role

The Environment, Health and Safety Manager role is based at TastePoint, our Philadelphia location – onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Provide site-level leadership across a multi-site scope with oversight of 3 direct reports across 3 locations, including laboratory environments.
  • Lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) programs and management systems from concept through full execution.
  • Drive a proactive safety culture where safety is embedded as a core organizational value across site operations.
  • Ensure full compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), and local regulatory requirements, as well as internal company standards.
  • Owser Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, ensuring effective implementation, sustainability, and continuous enhancement.
  • Lead incident investigations, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence.
  • Establish, track, and report key EHS metrics to drive performance, identify trends, and support data-driven decision-making.
  • Oversee risk assessments, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Industrial Hygiene (IH) monitoring, ergonomic assessments, and workplace inspections.
  • Partner cross-functionally (Operations, Engineering, Quality) to ensure EHS requirements are integrated into new products, processes, and capital projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of EHS experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing Process Safety Management (PSM) and environmental compliance programs.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, including management and development of direct reports.
  • Strong working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and applicable environmental and safety regulations.
  • Experience developing, implementing, and improving EHS programs end-to-end (from design through execution and sustainability).
  • Ability to apply technical EHS knowledge to drive measurable business and safety results.

  • Proven experience in leading EHS programs in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Knowledge of process safety management principles.
